Prepare Property For Sale

 

·         Select an agent and agree on terms for the marketing and sale of your property

 

·         Arrange a contract for the sale of land through your solicitor

 

·         Cleaning in addition to any repairs required

 

·         Repairs or even renovations may be warranted for some properties

 

·         Use of a stylist if suitable for the property

 

·         Expert reports may be obtained at this time such as building and pest reports or           a survey

 

List Your Property

 

·         Marketing can commence once the contract is available to the agent

 

·         Agent prepares marketing material and implements marketing campaign

 

·         Oversee property inspections – whether set open times or by appointment

 

·         Agent negotiates the best price reasonably possible

 

Offer and Acceptance

 

·         Once you accept the offer, your agent will advise your solicitor

 

·         Contracts exchanged – may include a cooling off period

 

·         The is no cooling off period for properties sold at auction

 

Settlement

 

·         Settlement period runs for the duration stated in the contract for the sale of           land

 

·         Ownership of the property is transferred
